“The truth is that stress doesn’t come from your boss, your kids, your spouse, traffic jams, health challenges, or other circumstances. It comes from your thoughts about your circumstances.”―Andrew Bernstein

Radiant rest Guided Mediation for Deep Relaxation

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is an ancient meditation technique where you enter a deep state of conscious relaxation. This class will begin with 10-15 minutes of gentle, seated movements to quiet the body, then move into a 45 min restorative yoga nidra meditation. A 45-minute session of yoga nidra is equivalent to a peaceful three-hour nap. Yoga Nidra calms the autonomic nervous system, which regulates the body’s processes that take place without a conscious effort (heartbeat, breathing, digestion, and blood flow), and the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, creating a feeling of deep calm and relaxation. Another benefit of Yoga Nidra is it may help you fall asleep faster and experience higher quality sleep. Anyone can enjoy this meditation; no experience is necessary.
