Ease discomfort and pain, while increasing energy and promoting relaxation.

What is Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic massage incorporates a variety of advanced modalities that enhance the body’s natural restorative functioning for reducing pain, muscle soreness, and stress; while increasing energy and promoting relaxation. Light to firm touch is used to release tension, relax muscles, increase blood and lymph circulation, and impart a sense of calm.

Therapeutic massage can be used as a collaborative, supportive addition to conventional medical treatment of illness and injury, alleviating pain and stress, aiding soft tissue healing, and revitalizing the body. Also, regular massage can enhance health, provide relaxation, release muscle tightness, relieve anxiety and tension, and balance all aspects of body/mind/spirit.

Benefits of Massage

One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins; the brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that produce feelings of well-being. Levels of stress hormones, such as adrenalin, cortisol, and norepinephrine, are also reduced. Studies indicate that high levels of stress hormones impair the immune system.

Massage Therapy

Some of the physical benefits of massage include: Reduced muscle tension, Reduced anxiety and depression, Improved circulation, Relaxation, Stimulation of the lymphatic system, Reduction of stress hormones, Increased joint mobility and flexibility, Improved skin tone, Improved recovery of soft tissue injuries, Heightened mental alertness, Pain control, Digestive issues, and much more!
