More Beautiful for Being Broken
The story of Kintsugi may have begun in the 15th century when a shogun warrior sent a damaged Chinese bowl back to China to be fixed. He challenged his Japanese craftsmen to find a new form of repair that could make a broken piece look as good as new, or better. They mended the bowl with gold. To his delight, the bowl looked better for having been broken.
When we view our lives as sometimes broken or even shattered, we begin to understand that no matter the trauma, despair, hurt, fear abuse, failure, addiction, disease, and even death, our scars are just a part of us. We can look at those breaks as a place for beauty to transpire. Each time, we will see we are more beautiful for being broken.

Gambling & Addictions Counseling or therapy for problem gamblers helps you change unhealthy gambling behaviors and deal with uncomfortable emotions rather than escape through gambling.
Sand Tray Therapy is a recognized therapeutic modality for both children and adults. Sand tray work is useful for identifying and reconciling internal conflicts that manifest as anxiety and depression.
Our SMART Moves Program provides the opportunity for the child to practice making better choices, ways to self-regulate and to co-regulate with a parent or caregiver. Through movement and sensory experiences, the child is able to find balance for their system and then to process their concerns, struggles and traumas.
EMDR Therapy is a powerful psychotherapy approach that has helped an estimated two million people of all ages relieve many types of psychological distress. During EMDR processing they sort through what others have told them about themselves, what they believe they should think or feel, and then arrive at what they feel to be true
EMDR appears to be similar to what occurs naturally during dreaming or (REM) sleep. Therefore, EMDR can be thought of as a physiologically based therapy that helps a person see disturbing material in a new and less distressing way.
Play Therapy builds on the natural way children learn about themselves and their relationships in the world. Toys act as children’s words and the play helps children to explore their feelings and behaviors and learn new ways to communicate with others and learn healthy ways to problem solve.
