What is a Doula
A birth doula is a person trained to support families non-clinically through birth. A doula provides emotional, physical, and educational support. This package is centered around reiki and energetic support, supplemented with a prenatal visit to discuss the logistics of support during birth. This could include creating birth plans, discussing comfort measures, providing resources and more.
What are the benefits of having a Doula?
During the birth, this package includes energetic clearing or creating sacred space within the birthing place/room. Reiki is provided as pain management and more to the birthing person and family. The doula will also provide emotional, physical and educational support. Numerous studies have documented the benefits of having a doula present during labor with a very high number of positive birth outcomes when a doula was present. With their support, women were less likely to have pain-relief medications administered and less likely to have a cesarean birth. Women also reported having a more positive childbirth experience.
