Amy Ward Brimmer, MA

MBSR Instructor, Mindful Stress Relief, Alexander Technique, Qigong and Meditation Instructor

Amy has been investigating mindfulness and self-expression since childhood. After years of irregular meditation practice, she took her first Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class in 2010. From that life-changing experience she began training as a teacher, and now holds teacher qualification status from the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School. She has been leading MBSR classes since 2014.

Amy is a practitioner of the Alexander Technique and has been a certified teacher since 1995She created Way Opens Center in 2010 to bring together people interested in learning and teaching bodymind methods of awakening. She also enjoys practicing and leading Qigong classes throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond. Amy has taught at Yale, Villanova, Brooklyn College, and along the banks of the Delaware Canal.
